Marc Harries-Watkins DipNEBOSH DipFD FSIDip CMIOSH MIFireE MIFSM MIIRSM (Director / Principal Consultant) is a dual practitioner with over 20 years experience in fire safety, health and safety and food safety management, practice, consulting and training.

 

He is a highly qualified Chartered Safety & Health Professional and Fire Protection Specialist with recognition from a range of health & safety and fire safety professional bodies:

• Institution of Occupational Safety and Health - Chartered Member  (CMISOH)

• Institution of Fire Engineers - Member grade member (MIFireE)

• International Institute of Risk and Safety Management - Member grade member (MIIRSM)

• Institute of Fire Safety Managers - Member grade member (MIFSM)

In addition Marc is a third party accredited (by NSI) Tier 3 Fire Risk Assessor and Validator on the Nationally Accredited Fire Risk Assessor Register.

He has worked in the public, charity and private sectors and he has a diverse wealth of experience in safety management of large scale residential estates and commercial office blocks, health & social care settings, retail shops and shopping centres, hotels, logistics, warehousing, soft and hard facilities management, professional kitchen and laundry settings, fundraising events up to 1000 people, and so on. 

 

Marc started Health, Safety & Fire Consulting Ltd in 2019, working with it full time as Director and Principal Consultant since 2023, where he continues with the mission to provide fairly priced, sensible and proportionate safety advice to those with a responsibility to protect their people and assets.
