Health, Safety & Fire Consulting Ltd was established to provide organisations with practical, independent Fire, Health & Safety consultancy that goes beyond simple compliance auditing.

Meet Marc

Marc Harries-Watkins is the Founder and Principal Consultant of Health, Safety & Fire Consulting Ltd.

With over 30 years' experience within regulated care services and more than 20 years providing fire, health and safety consultancy, Marc has built a reputation for delivering practical, proportionate compliance solutions across healthcare, residential and commercial sectors.

Since entering consultancy, Marc has undertaken an estimated 3,000 Fire Risk Assessments and Health & Safety Risk Assessments, including some of the most complex occupied premises in the UK. His experience spans hospices, care homes, supported living services, residential apartment buildings, mixed-use developments and commercial premises, providing clients with practical advice based on real operational understanding.

Marc believes that good compliance is not about generating paperwork, but about understanding risk, protecting people and implementing sensible solutions that genuinely improve safety.

His professional qualifications and memberships include:

  • BAFE SP205 Accredited for Life Safety Fire Risk Assessment

  • Advanced Fire Risk Assessor (NAFRAR)

  • Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH)

  • Member of the Institution of Fire Engineers

  • Member of the Institute of Fire Safety Managers

  • Member of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management

  • NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety

  • Level 5 Diploma in Fire Engineering Design

Supported by £5 million Professional Indemnity Insurance and £5 million Public Liability Insurance, Marc provides independent consultancy founded upon technical competence, integrity and practical experience.
